The Middle Atlantic BRK14 is a 14-rack-unit (14 RU), 18-inch-deep open-frame wood rack finished in black wood grain melamine — the right fit for low-profile AV and security equipment installations where a fully enclosed metal rack would be overkill or aesthetically out of place. The BRK14 ships as a knockdown assembly, meaning it flat-packs for easy transport and can be built out on-site without specialized tools. Usable interior height is 24.5 in (62.2 cm) and usable depth is 17.41 in (44.2 cm), giving you practical clearance for most 1U–4U security appliances, NVRs, and AV receivers. At a 200 lb (90.7 kg) weight capacity, it handles a fully loaded NVR shelf plus patch panels and a UPS without issue. Overall footprint is 20.4 in wide × 25.98 in tall × 17.91 in deep — compact enough for a credenza-style install or a dedicated equipment closet.

Compatibility

The BRK14 uses standard 10-32 threaded rack rails, which means it accepts the full range of Middle Atlantic rack accessories — shelves, blanks, cable management, and fan trays — as well as any third-party 10-32-compatible rack equipment. It fits standard 19-inch EIA rack-mount equipment including network video recorders, PoE switches, patch panels, and AV receivers up to 17.41 in deep. If your equipment exceeds that usable depth, move up to a deeper BRK variant in the same Middle Atlantic BRK series. Installation Notes

Assembly is tool-required knockdown construction — have a screwdriver on hand; no special torque specs are published in evidence. The black wood grain melamine finish is surface-applied over wood substrate, so keep it away from prolonged moisture exposure.
