Overview

The Middle Atlantic CFR-14-18 is a 14-space (14U) open cabinet frame rack built for in-cabinet deployments where you need a rigid, standards-compliant mounting structure without the weight and cost of a full enclosure. At 18 inches of usable depth and 24.5 inches of usable height across 14U, the CFR-14-18 accommodates rackmount NVRs, network switches, power supplies, and AV components in equipment rooms, server closets, and wall-mounted or floor-standing cabinet enclosures. Steel construction with a flat black powder coat finish keeps weight manageable at 21.6 lbs while supporting a UL-rated 250 lb load — enough headroom for fully loaded network and security hardware. TAA compliant and manufactured in the USA, it meets federal procurement requirements for government and institutional installations. The 10-32 threaded rail system is the de facto standard for 19-inch rackmount equipment, so compatibility with commercial-grade NVRs, patch panels, and PoE switches is broad by default.

Compatibility

The CFR-14-18 uses standard 10-32 threaded rails at 19-inch EIA spacing, accepting any rackmount equipment built to the EIA-310 rack standard — including network video recorders, PoE switches, patch panels, power distribution units, and UPS units up to 18 inches deep. Verify your enclosure's internal width and depth before ordering — the CFR-14-18 requires a cabinet with at least 18 inches of interior depth clearance and accepts the standard 19.25-inch-wide frame. Installation Notes

Frame weight is 21.6 lbs unloaded; account for up to 250 lbs of equipment load when selecting the host cabinet and its mounting surface. The flat black powder coat finish is cosmetically consistent with standard Middle Atlantic enclosures. 10-32 hardware is not included — source cage nuts and screws separately to match your installed equipment.
