Overview

The Middle Atlantic CFR-12-16 is a 12U in-cabinet steel frame rack designed for installations where internal cabinet mounting is required — think AV equipment enclosures, security head-end cabinets, and server closets where a freestanding open frame won't work. At 16 inches of usable depth and a UL-listed 250 lb load capacity, CFR-12-16 handles full-depth equipment without flex or sag. The flat black powder coat finish is standard for enclosed-rack environments where aesthetics matter alongside function. Rack rails are 10-32 threaded — the industry standard for rackmount security and AV gear — so you won't need cage nuts for most equipment. TAA compliant for government and federally funded projects.

Compatibility

The CFR-12-16 is engineered for the Middle Atlantic CFR (Cabinet Frame Rack) series and integrates with Middle Atlantic cabinet enclosures designed to accept internal frame rails. It accepts any standard 19-inch rackmount equipment — NVRs, PoE switches, patch panels, UPS units, and AV distribution gear — up to 12U height and within the 16-inch depth envelope. If your rackmount equipment exceeds 16 inches in depth (many 1U servers and larger UPS units do), step up to a deeper CFR variant. The 10-32 rail interface is compatible with the majority of network video recorders, managed PoE switches, and access control panels from major manufacturers. Not intended for use as a standalone open-frame rack — requires a compatible Middle Atlantic cabinet enclosure for proper mounting.

Product weight is 19.7 lbs; plan for 25.2 lbs shipping weight when coordinating freight.
