Overview
The B511A is a 12MP indoor hemispheric dome engineered for panoramic surveillance in retail, office, and institutional spaces where a single lens eliminates blind spots across expansive rooms. Its 1/1.7" sensor captures 4072×3046 effective pixels with 198.5° horizontal viewing angle in fisheye mode, delivering edge-to-edge coverage without the deployment footprint of multiple fixed cameras. The B511A runs built-in video analytics—VMD (Video Motion Detection) and People Counting—directly on the device, eliminating the need for external processing servers or VMS add-ons. This edge intelligence is the primary reason to choose hemispheric form factors: real-time occupancy tracking and motion alerts without network overhead.
Compatibility
The B511A integrates with any ONVIF-compliant VMS (Axis Camera Station, Milestone, Hanwha, etc.) and pairs with ACTi speed domes (I95, I96, I97, I98, I915) for coordinated overview-and-zoom deployments. It outputs via a single 1×RJ-45 Ethernet port and operates on PoE+ (802.3at) Class 3, drawing power from standard enterprise switches without requiring dedicated injectors. Manual GPS position tagging supports multi-site tracking when integrated with location-aware VMS instances.
