Overview

The Middle Atlantic SFR-12-24 is a 12U open-back swing frame rack designed for wall-mount installations where front and rear access to equipment is required without pulling gear from a cabinet. With a 24-inch overall depth and 18 inches of usable depth, it accommodates most 1U–4U rack-mount devices — patch panels, managed switches, small NVRs, and AV equipment — in telecom closets, server alcoves, or AV headend rooms where floor space is unavailable. The swing-frame design lets the entire rack pivot away from the wall, giving rear-cable access without disconnecting anything. Construction is 14-gauge steel with 10-32 tapped rails, the standard thread found on virtually all rack-mount security and IT equipment, so compatibility with third-party rail nuts or cage nuts is a non-issue.
