Description

Middle Atlantic QFAN-119 119mm Quiet Rack Fan 220-240V

Overview

The Middle Atlantic QFAN-119 is a 119mm (4.5-inch) AC fan designed for active thermal management in rack enclosures operating on 220–240V mains — the standard in international installations across Europe, Asia, and Latin America. At 50 CFM, it moves enough air through a loaded AV or security rack to keep network switches, NVRs, and amplifiers within operating temperature without the noise footprint of industrial fans. If your integration project ships racks overseas or into facilities wired for 220V, the QFAN-119 eliminates the need for a step-down transformer just to run rack cooling. The fan controller is not included — the QFAN-119 is a standalone replacement or supplemental fan, wired directly to AC.

Compatibility

The QFAN-119 is sized for Middle Atlantic rack enclosures and fan panels that accept 119mm (4.5-inch) fan modules — including Middle Atlantic fan trays and rackmount enclosures with standard 119mm cutouts. It is not a 120mm fan; confirm your enclosure's cutout dimension before ordering. At 4.69 in × 4.69 in face and 1.5 in depth, it fits flush within standard fan-tray bays. Power type is AC only at 220–240V — this fan will not operate on 110–120V North American circuits without a step-up transformer, and it is not compatible with DC-powered fan controllers. Fan controller accessories must be sourced separately if speed control is required.

Installation Notes

The QFAN-119 draws AC power directly — wire to a 220–240V feed inside the enclosure or via a rack-mount power strip rated for the local mains voltage. Depth of 1.5 inches keeps cable clearance impact minimal in tight bays. Shipping weight is 1.4 lbs, so no structural reinforcement is needed for standard rack fan-tray installations. Confirm mains voltage at the installation site before deployment; running this fan below 220V will result in reduced airflow and potential motor damage.
