This Wide Wavelength Division Multiplexing (WDM) media converter bridges the gap between 10/100Base-TX copper Ethernet and 100Base-FX multimode fiber optic networks. It's designed for point-to-point fiber links, enabling you to deploy network devices like IP cameras or access control panels up to 2 kilometers away from your network switch. The unit utilizes different wavelengths for transmitting and receiving, allowing two separate fiber links to operate over a single strand of multimode fiber, which is particularly useful for maximizing existing fiber infrastructure.
