The Hanwha HRX-835A-24TB is a professional-grade 8-channel pentabrid DVR built for hybrid analog and IP surveillance environments. This versatile recorder eliminates the need for platform replacement by accepting AHD, TVI, CVI, and CVBS analog signals alongside IP cameras—all up to 8MP resolution. Pre-loaded with 24TB of raw storage across four SATA HDD slots, it provides extended retention for mission-critical continuous and event-triggered recording in enterprises, retail, government, and critical infrastructure installations.
The HRX-835A supports flexible resolution and frame rate combinations: 8MP at 8fps, 5MP at 12fps, 4MP at 15fps, 2MP at 30fps, plus 1080p and 720p at full 30fps. H.265 compression significantly reduces bandwidth and storage requirements compared to H.264, while maintaining image quality for forensic playback and evidence preservation. Triple codec flexibility ensures compatibility with legacy and modern camera deployments.
Eight BNC video inputs (75-ohm) accommodate analog cameras, while dual Gigabit Ethernet ports support IP camera expansion up to 10 channels. Spot monitor output, dual video displays, and comprehensive alarm I/O (8 in, 4 out) enable versatile control room configurations. Audio support across 8 channels facilitates two-way communication and event correlation.
The HRX-835A-24TB addresses the real-world challenge of mixed-technology surveillance deployments. Organizations upgrading from legacy analog systems can integrate new IP cameras without replacing the entire infrastructure—a cost-effective migration path. The 24TB capacity suits environments with high-resolution (8MP) continuous recording or dense multi-channel deployments requiring 30+ day retention.
H.265 codec adoption is critical for managing bandwidth in bandwidth-constrained or distributed locations. The 80Mbps aggregate bandwidth cap requires careful stream allocation in maximum-density scenarios; 18-channel simultaneous monitoring demands prudent resolution/frame rate tiering. Suitable for mid-to-large organizations balancing performance, scalability, and total cost of ownership.
