Overview

The Altronix VR2T is a compact voltage regulator designed to step down 24VAC or 24VDC input power to a stable 12VDC output, capable of delivering up to 0.5 Amps. This device is critical for installations where a 24V power source is readily available but the connected equipment requires a 12VDC supply. It ensures consistent power delivery, preventing damage to sensitive 12VDC devices from overvoltage and stabilizing fluctuating input power. The terminal block interface simplifies wiring in control panels and junction boxes.

Compatibility

This regulator is designed for use with any system providing a 24VAC or 24VDC input. Installation Notes

Input terminals are clearly marked for 24VAC/VDC. Output terminals are marked for 12VDC. Ensure correct polarity for DC input. For AC input, the regulator rectifies and filters the voltage. Maximum continuous output current is 500mA. Wire gauge should be appropriate for the input current and distance, typically 18-22 AWG for low voltage DC/AC circuits. Mount in a clean, dry location with adequate ventilation.
