Overview

The ATEN VE172R is a rack-mountable receiver designed to extend VGA video and stereo audio signals over a single Cat 5e or Cat 6 cable. This unit is essential for deploying displays or projectors at a distance from the source, ideal for digital signage, presentation rooms, or security monitoring centers where cable length limitations would otherwise prevent proper placement. The VE172R works in conjunction with a compatible ATEN transmitter (sold separately) to deliver crisp video and clear audio up to 150 meters.

This receiver is designed to pair with ATEN VGA over Cat 5 transmitters. Specifically, it supports resolutions up to 1920 x 1200 at 30 meters and 1280 x 1024 at its maximum range of 150 meters when used with a suitable transmitter.
