Overview

The VP-6124-UPS is a battery back-up adapter for Valcom paging and audio systems, keeping power delivered to connected equipment through utility outages. Deploy it wherever paging uptime cannot depend on building power alone — schools, warehouses, and facilities running life-safety or mass-notification paging fall into this category. Internal batteries carry the load automatically when mains power drops, so an outage does not silence the paging zone it protects.

Compatibility

The VP-6124-UPS is built into the Valcom power accessories line and pairs with Valcom paging equipment specified for -24 Vdc power delivery, drawing on the same Valcom Power Unit (VPU) rating used across the product line (one VPU = 50 mA at -24 Vdc). Confirm your paging horn, amplifier, or gateway's VPU draw against the adapter's output before wiring, and add a fused 3-amp power supply upstream if the connected load exceeds what the internal batteries alone can carry. The unit also supports microphone input, so it can sit in-line with a handheld microphone accessory (V-420) for paging stations that need both power back-up and live announcement capability at the same point.
