ACTi NEW-DOCCAM 4K USB Document Camera
Overview
The ACTi NEW-DOCCAM is a 4K USB-powered document camera designed for classrooms, boardrooms, and presentation environments where you need real-time capture of physical documents, whiteboards, or artifacts without dedicated infrastructure. It draws power directly from USB, eliminating the need for a separate wall adapter or PoE injection. The 4K resolution (3840×2160) delivers sharp detail when digitizing paper documents, textbooks, or spreadsheets for live streaming or recording.
Compatibility
Works with any standard USB 3.0 or USB 2.0 host (desktop, laptop, or compatible presentation system supporting UVC—USB Video Class). Compatible with conferencing software (Zoom, Teams, Google Meet, WebEx) and VMS systems that accept UVC input. No driver installation required on Windows 10+, macOS 10.14+, or Linux systems with UVC kernel support. Integrates with OBS, Wirecast, or other streaming applications that recognize standard USB video devices.
Installation Notes
Mount on the included stand or wall bracket positioned above the document area. Position the camera 12–18 inches above the work surface for optimal focus and field of view. USB cable length determines placement distance from host device—standard 5–10 meter active USB extension cables are compatible if needed. No configuration software required; device enumerates as a standard camera in the operating system.
