ACTi MIC-MODCAM4K Modular 4K Camera
The ACTi MIC-MODCAM4K is a 4K modular camera designed as a drop-in module for Newline Q and Z Series interactive displays. It solves the problem of adding conferencing-grade video capture to collaboration spaces without replacing the display itself — a modular swap that keeps your display investment intact while upgrading imaging.
Overview
This is a tiltable, plug-and-play unit that connects via USB to the host display. The 4K (8 MP) sensor delivers evidence-grade resolution for shared-screen scenarios, remote participant clarity, and recorded meeting archives. The 120-degree field of view covers mid-to-large conference rooms without requiring pan-tilt adjustment — all participants stay in frame. Auto-framing adapts to movement, reducing the need for manual recalibration between meetings.
Compatibility
Compatible with Newline Q and Z Series displays only. Works with all major conferencing platforms — Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Google Meet, Cisco Webex — because it presents as a standard USB video device to the underlying operating system. No driver installation required; plug-and-play detection on any display that supports USB input.
Installation Notes
Mount the camera above or below the display using the tiltable bracket. USB connection carries both power and video signal to the host display, eliminating separate power supplies. The tiltable design allows vertical angle adjustment to compensate for camera height relative to seated or standing participants. Verify USB 4 compatibility with your display model before purchase; some older Newline displays may require USB-C adapter verification.
