Description

Panduit UPDUCRD1 32A IEC 60309 Power Cord for Universal PDU

The Panduit UPDUCRD1 is a 32-ampere power cord engineered for Panduit G5 Universal PDU (uPDU) installations requiring IEC 60309 3P+N+E 6h facility connections. This 10-foot (3-meter) cord set features Panduit's Universal connector on the PDU side and an IP44-rated IEC 60309 pin-and-sleeve plug on the facility side, supporting three-phase plus neutral plus earth configurations at 200-250V. Field-replaceable cord design lets you match PDU chassis to facility power without swapping the entire PDU, reducing downtime during power infrastructure changes or rack relocations.

Key Features

  • 32A continuous current rating for high-density rack power distribution
  • IEC 60309 3P+N+E 6h facility plug (200-250V three-phase plus neutral plus earth, 6 o'clock earth position)
  • Universal connector PDU side — compatible with all Panduit G5 uPDU chassis models
  • IP44 ingress protection on facility plug — dust-limited and splash-resistant for commercial/light industrial environments
  • 10 ft (3 m) length — spans typical rack-to-facility-outlet distances without excess slack
  • Field-replaceable design — swap cords to match facility power types without replacing the PDU

The IEC 60309 3P+N+E 6h connector is the international standard for industrial three-phase power connections in the 200-250V range (common in European and international datacenters, or North American facilities with 208Y/120V three-phase distribution). The 6h designation refers to the earth pin position at 6 o'clock when facing the connector, ensuring correct phase rotation and preventing cross-connection with incompatible voltage systems. IP44 rating means the plug is protected against solid objects larger than 1mm and water splashing from any direction — meeting typical requirements for commercial server rooms, network closets, and light industrial facilities.

Panduit's Universal PDU architecture separates the cord set from the PDU chassis, letting you stock a single chassis model and match it to facility power using the appropriate cord. This UPDUCRD1 cord is one of several available options (NEMA, IEC 60320, other IEC 60309 variants) — each using the same Universal PDU-side connector. When facility power changes (building rewire, rack relocation to a different floor, migration between datacenters), you swap the cord in minutes rather than de-racking and replacing the entire PDU. The 10-foot length is optimized for typical raised-floor or overhead-feed installations where the facility outlet is within one to two rack widths of the PDU mounting position.

The 32-ampere rating supports approximately 10-11 kW of load at 200-250V three-phase (exact capacity depends on phase count and voltage), sufficient for medium-to-high-density racks running blade servers, network switches, or storage arrays. The cord is rated for continuous duty and tested to IEC 60227 (PVC insulated cables) and IEC 60245 (rubber insulated cables) standards. Black jacket provides visual consistency in cable management and reduces visible wear marking in frequently accessed rack environments.

This cord is designed exclusively for Panduit G5 Universal PDU chassis and is not compatible with legacy Panduit PDU models or third-party PDUs. Verify your facility's voltage, phase configuration, and plug type before ordering — IEC 60309 comes in multiple variants (different voltage ranges, different earth positions) that are mechanically incompatible to prevent unsafe cross-connection. If your facility uses NEMA L15-30, NEMA L21-30, IEC 60320 C19/C20, or other plug types, Panduit offers alternate cord sets with the same Universal PDU connector.
