The AS10-U reads standard retail and logistics barcodes—Code 128, Code 39, UPC, EAN, and 15+ additional 1D symbologies—at 100 scans per second, sufficient for checkout and inventory verification workflows without stalling your throughput. It connects via USB (keyboard wedge mode) or RS-232 serial, integrating directly into legacy POS hardware and modern terminals without drivers or middleware. At 4.2 oz and 7 × 3 × 2.4 inches, it sits flat on a counter or mounts on an optional stand without consuming workspace.

Compatibility

Works with any host system accepting standard USB HID keyboard emulation or RS-232 serial input—POS registers, retail terminals, warehouse management software on Windows/Linux/macOS, and 1990s-forward legacy point-of-sale hardware. No drivers required for USB mode. RS-232 requires a native serial port or USB-to-serial adapter on modern machines. Ambient light tolerance to 5,000 lux covers fluorescent retail lighting and sunlit storefronts; direct sunlight at very close range may degrade the scan window.
