Overview
The UACC-DAC-QSFP28-1M-10 is a 1-meter QSFP28 direct attach cable (DAC) rated for 100 Gbps short-reach interconnects. DACs eliminate the need for separate transceiver modules and fiber optics — you plug the cable directly into QSFP28 ports on both ends. This cuts latency and cost in rack-to-rack and switch-to-switch topologies where distances stay under 1 meter. Typical deployments: spine-to-leaf fabric in data centers, top-of-rack aggregation, UniFi switching clusters, and any 100GBase-capable infrastructure requiring low-latency, direct copper connectivity.
Compatibility
Connects any QSFP28-equipped networking hardware, including Ubiquiti UniFi switching products and third-party 100G-capable devices with active or passive QSFP28 ports. The 1-meter length is sized for standard 42U and 48U cabinet spacing — verify your endpoint QSFP28 port support before deployment. Not compatible with QSFP+, SFP+, or other smaller form-factor ports; QSFP28 connectors are mechanically distinct and not backwardly compatible.
Installation Notes
Insert the cable firmly into QSFP28 ports until you hear or feel a click — both ends must seat fully. Route the cable away from high-heat zones and sharp edges; do not bend the cable radius below 25mm. For multi-cable runs in dense environments, cable management trays prevent pinching and stress. The cable operates in standard commercial environments (0–40°C ambient); exceeding 40°C may degrade performance. No tools or configuration required — plug and transmit.
