Ubiquiti UACC-ADAPTER-POE-USBC PoE to USB-C Adapter
Overview
The UACC-ADAPTER-POE-USBC is a passive PoE-to-USB-C converter that solves a single, specific problem: powering USB-C cameras and accessories from standard Ethernet runs without running a second cable. It accepts 48V DC PoE input over RJ45, regulates it to 5V/2A USB-C output, and passes GbE data simultaneously — meaning one cable in, power and data out. The compact polycarbonate cylinder (30.4mm diameter, 95mm length, 85g) mounts flush to walls or inside enclosures. Operating range -10 to 40°C handles most indoor and covered-outdoor deployments. NDAA-compliant with CE, FCC, and IC certifications.
Compatibility
This adapter is designed exclusively for Ubiquiti UniFi Protect G4-series USB-C cameras: the G4 Instant (UVC-G4-INS) and G4 Doorbell Pro (UVC-G4-Doorbell-Pro). It requires a PoE-capable switch or injector rated for 802.3af minimum (13W budget covers the adapter's 0.25A input draw at 48V). If your deployment uses UniFi switches, the adapter draws negligible power — compatible with any PoE-enabled port. The integrated GbE pass-through preserves network data on the same run, so no separate data cable is needed.
Installation Notes
Mount the adapter within 100m of your PoE source using standard Cat5e or Cat6 cabling. ESD protection (±8kV air, ±4kV contact) guards against transient surges during installation and outdoor exposure. Humidity tolerance is 5–95% noncondensing — suitable for screened patios, garage mounting, or sheltered ledges, but not for direct rain or submersion. Ensure the PoE source delivers 48V DC; some legacy or non-standard injectors may not. Polycarbonate housing resists UV and minor impact but is not rated for mechanical shock or crushing loads — avoid high-traffic areas or installations where the cable will be repeatedly pinched.
