Ubiquiti NHD-COVER-WOOD-3 Upgradable Casing for nanoHD
Overview
The NHD-COVER-WOOD-3 is a replaceable wood casing designed to swap onto Ubiquiti nanoHD access points. If your deployment requires a finish that blends into wood trim, stone facades, or hospitality environments where white plastic reads as institutional, this cover eliminates that visual friction — all without affecting AP radio performance or wired network capability. The casing is field-swappable; you remove the stock plastic enclosure and snap the wood cover onto the nanoHD unit itself.
Compatibility
Works exclusively with Ubiquiti nanoHD access points. The cover is not compatible with other UniFi AP families (6-series, 7-series, or earlier 802.11n models). Maintains full compatibility with standard nanoHD mounting (flush ceiling, wall bracket, or pole mount) and does not interfere with Ethernet PoE connections or antenna alignment.
Installation Notes
Installation is a manual swap: power down the AP, remove the stock casing (typically two or three clips), slide the wood cover onto the bare radio unit, and secure. No tools, no rewiring, no firmware changes. The wood casing preserves all port access and does not obstruct cable routing. Verify the AP is powered off before beginning; no special precautions are required beyond standard ESD practice in climates with high static risk.
