Overview
The TL-SG1024DE is a 24-port gigabit smart switch designed for security and warehouse automation deployments where basic traffic segmentation and priority handling prevent video and access-control systems from being starved by background data traffic. All 24 ports operate at 10/100/1000 Mbps with a 48 Gbps switching capacity—enough to sustain simultaneous multi-camera streaming without oversubscription. This switch bridges unmanaged and fully managed equipment: it delivers managed features (VLAN, QoS, IGMP Snooping) without the complexity of enterprise-grade routers or ACL firewalls. The model TL-SG1024DE supports both wall and rack-mountable installation, making it flexible for cabinet or field placement.
Compatibility
The TL-SG1024DE works with any IP camera, PoE injector, NVR, or networked access control device using standard RJ-45 Gigabit Ethernet. Port-based and Tag-based VLAN (802.1Q) allow you to isolate camera traffic and access control on the same physical backbone without cross-talk. IGMP Snooping prevents multicast flooding when wireless access points or multiple cameras stream simultaneously—a real bandwidth saver in mixed deployments. QoS prioritization ensures video and access-control packets maintain latency predictability even when legacy IT networks consume available capacity on shared infrastructure.
Installation Notes
The switch requires AC 110–240V power input and operates in standard office and field conditions (0–40°C typical).
