The TL-SG1024DE is a 24-port gigabit network switch designed for security infrastructure and warehouse automation deployments where basic traffic segmentation and priority handling are required. It bridges the gap between unmanaged and fully managed switching, offering managed features without enterprise complexity. The switch supports Port-based and Tag-based VLAN (802.1Q), allowing you to isolate camera traffic, access control systems, and data networks on the same physical infrastructure—critical in mixed-use deployments where cameras and wireless access points share backbone capacity.
All 24 ports operate at 10/100/1000 Mbps, delivering 48 Gbps switching capacity. IGMP Snooping prevents multicast flooding, which reduces unnecessary bandwidth consumption when wireless access points or multiple cameras stream simultaneously. QoS (Quality of Service) prioritization ensures video and access-control packets are not starved by background data traffic—a common failure point in facilities integrating legacy IT networks with new security systems.
The TL-SG1024DE is compatible with any IP camera, PoE injector, NVR, or networked access control device using standard RJ-45 Gigabit Ethernet. Desktop and rack-mountable form factors support both wall and cabinet mounting. The switch itself requires AC 110–240V power and operates in standard office and field conditions (0–40°C typical).
If your deployment requires Layer 3 routing, ACL firewall rules, or redundancy protocols (RSTP), consider a fully managed industrial switch instead. If you need PoE power delivery on the switch itself (rather than via external injectors), look for managed PoE+ variants in the TP-Link switching lineup.
