The Allied Telesis AT-2911SXA/LC-901 is a TAA-compliant, single-port 1000BASE-SX PCIe gigabit fiber adapter card designed for federal and government deployments where Trade Agreements Act compliance is a procurement requirement. Using an LC connector interface, this NIC slots into a PCIe host system and delivers fiber-based gigabit connectivity — eliminating copper-distance constraints and reducing susceptibility to electromagnetic interference in data center and secure facility wiring environments. PXE and UEFI boot support means it integrates cleanly into enterprise imaging and provisioning workflows without requiring a separate boot ROM card.
Designed for PCIe-slot server and workstation platforms supporting standard PCIe form factors. The 1000BASE-SX (LC) interface is compatible with multimode fiber infrastructure operating at 850nm wavelengths — pair with OM1, OM2, OM3, or OM4 multimode fiber patch cables and LC-terminated runs. PXE support is compatible with standard network boot environments (WDS, PXELinux, iPXE); UEFI boot is compatible with modern UEFI-based server BIOS implementations. TAA compliance makes this adapter eligible for GSA Schedule and federal contract purchasing. Confirm PCIe slot availability and lane width compatibility with your specific server platform before ordering.
Install into an available PCIe slot on the host system. Connect via LC duplex multimode fiber patch cable to the nearest fiber switch or patch panel port. PXE and UEFI boot options are configured through the host system BIOS/UEFI firmware after driver installation — no separate configuration utility is required for basic connectivity. Ensure the operating system has an appropriate driver available for the Allied Telesis AT-2911SXA chipset prior to deployment.
