Overview

The System Sensor SRK-R is a red wall-mounted strobe designed for fire alarm and life safety systems in commercial, institutional, and industrial facilities. It provides visual alert signaling where audible notification alone is insufficient or where code compliance mandates redundant alerting. The SRK-R operates on 12VDC with automatic voltage detection (12 or 24 volt compatible) and mounts via a universal plate that includes an onboard shorting spring for wiring continuity verification before device installation—a critical feature that eliminates costly ground-fault troubleshooting in the field.

Compatibility

The SRK-R integrates with System Sensor SpectrAlert Advance fire alarm control panels and compatible third-party fire alarm systems supporting standard strobe signaling circuits. It is electrically compatible with legacy SpectrAlert devices, making it suitable for retrofit installations where you need to upgrade visual notification without replacing the entire alarm backbone. Mount it in open areas, corridors, enclosed spaces, and any zone requiring code-compliant life safety alerting.

Installation Notes

Plug-in design with minimal back-box intrusion—no complex wiring. Field-selectable candela settings (15, 15/75, 30, 75, 95, 110, 115, 135, 150, 177, and 185 cd) allow you to right-size visibility for room dimensions and mounting height without inventory overhead. Universal mounting plate works on drywall or concrete. The onboard shorting spring tests wiring before you seat the device, preventing installer errors and reducing callbacks. White and red plastic housings available; specify red (SRK-R) for this model.
