How matching works

Direct-thermal printers use direct-thermal (DT) media only — no ribbon. Thermal-transfer printers use thermal-transfer (TT) media with a wax, wax/resin, or resin ribbon (paper labels pair with wax; synthetic labels need wax/resin or resin), and most can also run DT media. We match media width to your printer’s maximum print width. One thing to verify before ordering: roll core size — desktop printers take 1-inch cores, industrial printers take 3-inch cores; the core is listed on each product page.
