The STI-3610 is a wireless doorbell extender that retrofits into your existing house doorbell wiring without disconnecting any current connections. The motion-activated receiver plugs into a standard 120 VAC outlet and pairs wirelessly via 433 MHz with a fork-connector sensor that slides onto your existing doorbell's screw terminals. Operating range reaches 500 feet (line of sight), letting you extend alerts to a distant office, warehouse floor, or auxiliary security station where the main doorbell chime isn't audible. The receiver offers low and high volume settings — useful when you need to preserve focus during low-traffic periods but catch every entry during peak hours.
The STI-3610 works with any existing hardwired doorbell system that has front and/or rear doorbell buttons connected to a transformer-powered circuit. The extender sensor (STI-3331) uses fork-shaped connectors that grip the existing doorbell wiring screws without modification — no wire stripping, no disconnection of the original doorbell. The receiver pairs with the STI-3353 chime receiver module. If your building has no rear doorbell button, the brown connector simply tapes off and remains unpowered; the front button will pair and operate independently.
Before installation, disable power to the existing doorbell circuit at the breaker. Mount the extender sensor inside or outside the doorbell box using double-sided tape. Slide the fork connectors onto the existing doorbell's front and rear screw terminals — use the brown wire for rear if your system has one. Restore power to the doorbell circuit, then plug the receiver into a standard 120 VAC outlet. Pairing is automatic: press the pairing button on the receiver (it will tone), press your front doorbell button, and listen for confirmation tone from the receiver. The receiver will then exit pairing mode automatically after the second button press. Front doorbell will sound "ding-dong" and back doorbell "ding" — chime tones are fixed and cannot be customized. FCC and IC certification confirms 433 MHz operation in North America.
