The STI-3360 is a wireless chime receiver designed to extend audible notification from existing hardwired doorbell systems. It pairs wirelessly with STI doorbell sensor modules (such as the STI-3331 Wireless Doorbell Extender Sensor) to repeat door-open or door-press events across a facility without running new wiring. The receiver plugs into any standard 120 VAC outlet, making it suitable for retrofit installations in commercial buildings, warehouses, offices, and access control zones where door-activity notification must reach staff away from the primary entry point. Operating range is up to 500 feet line-of-sight at 433 MHz, with selectable low and high volume output on the receiver unit itself.
The STI-3360 receiver pairs with STI wireless doorbell sensors, including the STI-3331 Wireless Doorbell Extender Sensor (which connects to existing hardwired doorbell circuits without disconnecting wires) and is referenced in documentation alongside the STI-3353 chime receiver configuration. The system does not integrate with third-party doorbell or access control brands — pairing is exclusive to STI wireless sensor modules. Front doorbell button generates a "ding-dong" tone on the receiver; rear or secondary doorbell generates a single "ding" tone. Sounds are fixed and cannot be customized.
Installation requires access to the existing hardwired doorbell circuit. The sensor module mounts via double-sided tape inside or outside the doorbell box and connects via fork-shaped connectors to the doorbell's existing screws (black for front, brown for rear, red for transformer). The existing doorbell circuit must be de-energized during sensor installation. Once the sensor is in place, restore power to the existing doorbell, then plug the receiver into a standard outlet and use the pairing button (located on the receiver bottom) to initiate wireless pairing. The system uses FCC and IC certification for the 433 MHz frequency band. The receiver requires a nearby 120 VAC outlet for continuous operation; wireless sensors draw power from the existing doorbell circuit.
