Install it at indoor and outdoor access control points where keypads face weather, dust, or accidental impact — the clear construction lets you inspect button condition and lighting status without removing the cover.
Compatibility
The STI-6550 fits STI widebody keypad systems directly. It integrates with existing installations without modifications to wiring, mounting frames, or underlying credential readers. Compatible with standard credential readers, audible alarms, volume controls, and illuminated switches mounted in the widebody form factor. No compatibility modifications required — anchor directly to the keypad faceplate.
Installation Notes
Installation is tool-free and fast. Mounting anchors and screws are included; fasten directly to the keypad faceplate without disassembling the reader or door controller electronics. Operating temperature range −40°F to 250°F (−40°C to 121°C) suits harsh indoor and outdoor environments — UV-resistant molded polycarbonate resists degradation and impact in normal service. For wet environments or frequent hosing (e.g., loading docks, outdoor kiosks), gaskets are available separately; contact the manufacturer for gasket part numbers and compatibility details. Thick polycarbonate construction absorbs minor impacts without deforming the keypad alignment.
