Description

STI STI-3150-ES Weather Stopper Spacer

Overview

The STI-3150-ES is a polycarbonate spacer component for the Weather Stopper® II protective cover system, designed to extend reach around existing conduit or recessed pull-station installations in outdoor or weathered environments. Operating at 9VDC, this accessory raises the protected pull station away from the mounting surface — solving the fitment problem when standard covers sit too close to the wall or conduit. It is not a standalone device; it integrates into STI's mechanical false-alarm prevention ecosystem and has been field-proven for over 40 years in schools, hospitals, retail, and public buildings.

Compatibility

The STI-3150-ES spacer pairs with STI Weather Stopper® II covers and manual pull stations requiring outdoor UL-listed protection. It accommodates larger pull-station sizes and surface-mounted configurations where the standard frame would interfere with conduit or wall-mounted devices. Verify exact pull-station model compatibility before installation — the spacer adjusts frame offset but does not change electrical function or alarm signaling.

Installation Notes

When covering a pull station outside, UL requires the station itself to be listed for outdoor use. Weather models include closed-cell gaskets rated -40° to 250°F (-40° to 121°C) to seal against moisture ingress. The 9VDC power source is a standard alkaline battery (included on passive models); remote-powered variants are available. The polycarbonate shield is impact-resistant but carries a three-year breakage guarantee under normal use (one year on any electromechanical or electronic components). Do not exceed the listed temperature range or expose to direct sustained UV without periodic assessment of polycarbonate clarity.
