Description

STI STI-1100CP6 Stopper II Contractor 6-Pack Flush Mount

Overview

The STI-1100CP6 is a 6-unit contractor pack of Stopper II protective covers designed to reduce false fire alarm activations at manual pull stations without blocking legitimate alarms. Each unit consists of a transparent polycarbonate enclosure that requires deliberate action to access the lever—when lifted, a 95 or 105 dB horn sounds immediately, alerting occupants to the access attempt. Flush-mount configuration integrates with standard manual fire alarm station installations in schools, hospitals, retail facilities, and office buildings where accidental or malicious pulls are a documented problem.

Compatibility

The Stopper II fits virtually all manual lever-operated fire alarm stations without modification. Flush-mount design accommodates standard surface-mounted and recessed station boxes. Optional weatherproof gaskets are available for outdoor installations; note that UL regulations require an enclosure (STI-1250) for outdoor use of the standard unit. The 9VDC power source is a single alkaline battery installed in the standard Stopper II unit; remote-operated variants exist but are not part of this 6-pack.

Installation Notes

UV-stabilized polycarbonate housing rated from -40°C to 116°C (-40°F to 240°F) ensures durability in climate extremes. The transparent cover allows visual confirmation of the internal station while preventing accidental or casual contact. Horn options of 95 or 105 dB are field-selectable depending on facility noise requirements and ADA compliance needs. Installation requires no special tools—the frame simply overlays the existing station lever mechanism. Three-year manufacturer warranty covers polycarbonate breakage under normal use; one-year coverage on electromechanical horn components.
