Overview
The KIT-M05101-EN is a red polycarbonate protective housing from STI's Stopper II Series, designed to prevent false alarms and tampering on fire alarm call points and similar devices in multi-door access control deployments. The clear, tamper-proof cover allows legitimate operation while blocking accidental or malicious activation. When the cover is lifted without authorization, an optional battery-powered integral sounder emits 120 dB — immediate deterrent for would-be pranksters. This housing extends the operational life of larger weather-exposed devices by protecting against environmental degradation, vandalism, and dust ingress, common failure modes in commercial and industrial settings.
Compatibility
The Stopper II Series housing is compatible with multi-door fire alarm and access control environments. Installation requires mounting over the target device using four fixing holes drilled into masonry or wall surfaces with a 7mm drill bit. The housing accommodates both internal and external installations and supports cable gasket configurations for different wiring systems. Standard 9VDC operation integrates with typical access control power supplies used across networked credential systems.
Installation Notes
Position the housing frame centrally over the device to be protected and mark the four fixing hole locations. Drill using a 7mm masonry bit and secure with the provided wall fixings. For weather-exposed applications, install the weather gasket between the device and frame before securing the fasteners. For surface installations, use the spacer inserts to blank off unused cable entry holes. Select the appropriate cable gasket type based on your existing wiring system before final assembly.
