Overview
The STI-7531 is a wall-mounted protective cabinet designed to house access control readers, lock mechanisms, and strike hardware on secured doorways. The polycarbonate front cover provides impact resistance and transparent visibility of internal components while the coated steel backplate offers rigid anchoring for reader and strike assemblies. A thumb lock mechanism on the front enables straightforward field access for technician maintenance without requiring separate tools. At 23.5 inches tall by 14.2 inches wide by 6.44 inches deep, the cabinet fits standard commercial door frame applications and institutional entry points.
Compatibility
The STI-7531 integrates with STI lock and strike system product families. The cabinet is designed for door-mounted reader installations and compatible with standard access control strike hardware anchoring to the provided backplate. The thumb lock mechanism supports field technician and end-user access during installation and maintenance cycles without compromising security of the contained equipment.
Installation Notes
Mount the cabinet using four provided mounting tabs inserted into back box slots. After positioning the closed cabinet against the wall at your target location, mark and drill four 1/4 inch diameter holes through the wall. Insert the four anchors and secure the cabinet with four #10 × 1.5 inch screws. Four #8-32 × 3/8 inch screws are provided for internal hardware attachment. The polycarbonate cover requires only water rinsing and mild soap wash with a soft cloth for cleaning—do not scrub or use abrasive methods. Use naphtha on a damp cloth to remove grease or wet paint if needed.
