Overview
The STI-7530 is a wall-mounted protective cabinet designed to house and secure access control readers, keypads, and strike mechanisms in high-traffic or outdoor environments. The polycarbonate cover provides visibility of equipment status while protecting against impact and tampering. A coated steel backplate and integrated key lock deliver straightforward mounting and operator-controlled access. The cabinet is 23.5 inches tall × 14.2 inches wide × 12.2 inches deep (external dimensions), with internal space accommodating standard reader and strike assemblies. This is the right choice when you need reader protection without completely obscuring equipment from view, and when mounting hardware and a vandal-resistant lock are prerequisites.
Compatibility
The STI-7530 works with access control systems requiring reader and strike protection in wall-mounted or standalone deployments. The coated steel backplate accepts standard #10-12 and #8-32 fasteners, compatible with most electronic strike frames and reader mounting brackets. The cabinet houses equipment for door-mounted readers (keypads, proximity, magnetic stripe) and electromagnetic or mechanical strikes. Verify that your reader and strike assembly dimensions fit within the internal cavity before ordering — internal dimensions are 12.2 inches wide × 14.2 inches tall × 12 inches deep (excluding backplate thickness). The polycarbonate cover remains clear under typical indoor and sheltered outdoor conditions; for direct UV exposure or salt-spray environments, validate compatibility with your integrator.
Installation Notes
Mount using four #10 × 1½ inch wood or concrete anchors (not included). Position the cabinet closed against the wall, mark four mounting hole locations through the backplate, drill ¼-inch holes, insert anchors, and drive screws. The cabinet ships with (4) mounting tabs that insert fully into the backplate mounting-tab slots — use a rubber mallet if necessary to seat them. Mounting hardware is provided: (4) #8-32 × 3/8 inch screws for internal backplate assembly. The key lock is factory-installed. Clean the polycarbonate cover with mild soap and soft cloth; avoid solvents except naphtha for grease removal. Do not use razor blades or abrasive scrubbing.
