STI KIT-E10198 N.C. Contact Stopper Station Push Button
Overview
The KIT-E10198 is a normally-closed contact push button designed to integrate with electronic strike hardware in access control systems. Operating at 9VDC, it provides manual egress release for door strikes in retrofit and new installations where push-button activation is required—typical in exit corridors, emergency egress routes, and situations where code mandates hands-on unlock capability. This is an accessory component, not a complete controller; it wires into existing strike control circuits to provide momentary closure on demand.
Compatibility
The KIT-E10198 works with HID-based access control platforms and standard door strike systems that accept 9VDC normally-closed contact input. It integrates into standard access control power supplies and strike modules used in commercial buildings, hospitals, educational facilities, and industrial sites. Confirm your strike hardware accepts N.C. push-button input before ordering; some systems require N.O. (normally-open) contact instead.
Installation Notes
Mount the button assembly using the four fixing holes and 7mm masonry drill bits specified in the installation data. Position centrally over the strike or in the adjacent frame depending on site layout. Wire the N.C. contact terminals into your strike release circuit—9VDC power comes from your access control supply, not the button itself. Secure cable entries and apply appropriate gaskets for outdoor or wet-environment exposure if needed. Verify polarity and circuit continuity before final installation.
