Overview
The STI-9618 is a protective corner mount cage built from 9-gauge steel wire with polyester corrosion-resistant coating. It's designed to shield motion detectors from physical damage in high-traffic areas, impact zones, or facilities where accidental or intentional detector damage drives maintenance costs. The cage mounts directly to corners and alcoves without tools, maintaining full sensor field of view and detection range. Deploy this where motion detector downtime from vandalism or collision is a recurring cost driver—warehouse corners, retail alcoves, facility entry points, or loading dock areas where forklifts and carts pose a risk.
Compatibility
The STI-9618 is sized and engineered for corner-mounted PIR (passive infrared) motion detectors. It is a retrofit accessory compatible with STI motion detection systems and integrates into standard security infrastructure. The cage does not interfere with the effective detection range of any protected motion detector. Two corner-mount models in the STI damage stopper line accommodate the wide variety of PIR detector form factors currently in use; the STI-9618 is the small corner-mount variant. Installation Notes
