Overview

The STI-EM151804 is a 15 × 18 × 4 inch metal protective enclosure designed to house and shield access control electronics, strike assemblies, and other sensitive security components in indoor environments. This cabinet isolates vulnerable gear from physical tampering and environmental stress, solving the common problem of exposed control modules in lobbies, server rooms, and secured areas where cabinet-level protection is required.

Designed for mounting with STI EM1212DOC-U systems and compatible EM-series components. The cabinet features pre-drilled threaded studs for direct attachment of USB holders and strike assemblies without additional drilling. Supports USB-C female-to-female keystone jack connectors for integration with digital storage devices and modular control accessories. Fits standard wall-mount and surface-mount scenarios where existing STI enclosure infrastructure is in place.

Installation Notes

Mount accessories directly to existing threaded studs — no drilling required, which reduces installation time and maintains enclosure integrity. Four sealing washers are provided to ensure proper weatherproofing and electrical isolation at connection points. Lock cylinder installation uses a standard knockout punch method; lock cylinders are inserted through the knockout hole after punching. Avoid drilling additional holes unless specifically required by your integration partner, as this compromises the cabinet's protective properties and may void compatibility with certain strike or sensor modules.
