Overview
The STI-7510F-HTR is a heated polycarbonate enclosure rated NEMA 4X, designed to protect access control hardware—readers, strikes, keypads, and wiring—in outdoor, freezing, and corrosive environments. The key lock credential type provides mechanical access without electronics, making it a reliable backup or standalone solution where electronic readers are impractical. The integrated radiant heating element maintains the enclosure above freezing, preventing LCD displays from slowing, condensation from forming, or mechanical components from sticking in cold storage, unheated warehouses, or outdoor installations.
Compatibility
This enclosure is a protective wrapper compatible with most compact access control devices and readers that fit within the cabinet footprint. The key lock mechanism operates independently of any electronic system, making it suitable for mechanical strikes, electromechanical locks, and standalone credential readers. It integrates into physical security infrastructure where NEMA 4X weather and corrosion resistance is required—perimeter gates, loading dock checkpoints, emergency exits, freezer entries, and equipment cabinets in harsh environments. The heating element operates on 12, 16.5, or 24 VAC/VDC, covering standard low-voltage control circuit power supplies common in access control installations.
Installation Notes
Mounting hardware and weathertight seals are included. The enclosure features three thermostats: one for active heating control, one safety thermostat against overheating, and one audible alarm to alert installers if heating fails. Polycarbonate temperature tolerance spans −40° to 250°F (−40° to 121°C), supporting deep-freeze and high-ambient deployments. Mounting bracket and fasteners support vertical wall installation typical of access control cabinets. Verify the heating element voltage matches your control power supply before installation.
