The STI G3A529ZA-EN is a shielded multipurpose push button designed for auxiliary lock and strike control in access control installations. It operates at 12VDC and includes turn-to-reset functionality — a manual override lever that allows facility staff to manually reset the button state without external power cycling or controller intervention. This accessory integrates into door control architectures where you need a secondary actuation point (e.g., emergency unlock, manual door release, system reset) separate from or in addition to credential-based readers. The shield enclosure protects against accidental actuation and weather exposure in semi-outdoor or high-traffic areas.
Compatibility
The G3A529ZA-EN connects to access control systems operating at 12VDC — standard for electromagnetic lock and strike circuits. It is compatible with control panels, readers, and auxiliary relay outputs that source 12VDC for solenoid-driven door hardware. The push button wiring uses standard N.O. (normally open) and N.C. (normally closed) contact configurations with COM (common) terminals, allowing integration into relay logic, door controllers, or supervisory access control panels that support auxiliary button inputs. Confirm your panel or controller accepts momentary contact closures and can provide 12VDC auxiliary voltage before installation.
Installation Notes
Mount the enclosure using the supplied #8 × 1.5 in. screws into a standard electrical box or surface-mounted bracket. The unit accommodates a 1/2 in. NPT thread entry for conduit and includes a CR123A lithium battery cavity (battery not supplied) if your installation requires wireless or battery-backed operation — verify your system design before assuming battery function. Drill and anchor mounting holes as shown on the installation sheet. Ensure the lower rotating disc and reset lever are visible and accessible post-installation; a blocked reset lever defeats the manual override purpose. Wire N.O., N.C., and COM terminals according to your door control logic diagram — reversing polarity will not damage the unit but will invert the contact state.
