Overview
The G3A229LD-EN is a 12VDC multipurpose push button module for networked access control systems. It integrates directly into TCP/IP-based architectures without onboard camera capability, making it lighter on bandwidth and processing overhead than integrated variants. The turn-to-reset lever mechanism provides manual override capability for administrative unlock or emergency access — useful when network connectivity drops or you need emergency egress without panel intervention. The protective shield guards the button mechanism from damage in high-traffic or vandalism-prone locations such as loading docks, utility areas, or exterior pedestrian gates.

The G3A229LD-EN operates within STI G3 system architectures and integrates with third-party TCP/IP-enabled access control platforms using standard network protocols. It supports NC/NO/COM contact switching for latching and momentary strike control, making it compatible with standard electronic door locks, magnetic strikes, and electromechanical latch hardware. Verify your access control panel's I/O specifications and network infrastructure before deployment — this module requires 12VDC power supply and Ethernet connectivity to the control system.
Installation Notes
Mount the unit at standard accessible height (approximately 48 inches from floor) using the #8 × 1.5 inch fasteners supplied. The 1/2 inch NPT threaded conduit connection accommodates standard electrical conduit for protected wiring runs. Ensure 12VDC power is regulated and protected with appropriate fusing. The reset lever lower rotating disc must remain visible and unobstructed for manual override operation. Position the module where the button face is not recessed more than 1/4 inch from the surrounding wall or frame — too-deep mounting defeats the shield's protective advantage and makes the button difficult to actuate consistently.
