STI EP141207-O EnviroArmour Polycarbonate Door Controller
Overview
The EP141207-O is a TCP/IP-networked access control enclosure in injection-molded polycarbonate rated for up to 7 doors. The RAL 7035 gray finish and polycarbonate construction handle temperature swings and humid environments without corrosion — useful in loading docks, parking structures, and outdoor vestibules where a metal enclosure would rust or require extra maintenance. Sound output is 44dB(A), audible enough for alarm notification without being jarring in a retail or office environment.
Compatibility
The EP141207-O integrates into multi-door networked access control systems using TCP/IP communication. It is designed to pair with standard network infrastructure and compatible door strike hardware in installations managing 2 to 7 reader zones. Confirm compatibility with your existing access control software and network topology before procurement — this is a controller enclosure, not a standalone reader.
Installation Notes
Conduit entry requires careful planning. Cut holes according to hub size specifications (½" to 2" conduit diameters) using a Greenlee cutter — punch from the inside of the enclosure to prevent cracking. For metallic conduit, secure the connector hub, then apply a grounding bushing over the locknut to comply with electrical code bonding requirements. Non-metallic conduit does not require a grounding bushing but must be aligned carefully to avoid unnecessary stress on polycarbonate walls. Grounding of the device mounting plate is mandatory per Canadian Electrical Code — include a ground wire lug bonded to the connector locknut.
