Overview
The STI-6518-ES is a spring-loaded protective cover for access control keypads, biometric readers, and push button units. Clear polycarbonate construction with Spanish-language wording fits multi-language facility environments. The stainless steel torsion spring maintains closure while protecting credential entry points from vandalism, accidental damage, and environmental exposure (ice, snow, debris). Three-year warranty against polycarbonate breakage in normal use.
Compatibility
Supports protection of biometric fingerprint readers, keypads, electrical outlets, volume controls, lighting controls, and smaller-sized pull stations. Compatible with standard secure access control reader installations requiring vandal-resistant covers. The molded polycarbonate design fits over existing push button and credential entry hardware without modification to underlying reader or strike mechanism.
Installation Notes
Fast, easy installation. Cover comes complete with mounting screws and gasket. Stainless steel continuous hinge allows smooth opening with no binding. Working temperature range: −40°F to 250°F (−40°C to 121°C). Gasket replacement recommended after five years of service to maintain weather sealing and operational smoothness.
