Overview
The KIT-71100A-B is a blue back box assembly designed to mount behind STI Stopper® Station universal button readers in door strike and entry control installations. It provides the structural and electrical integration point for button-actuated access control devices, powered at 9VDC. This kit solves the surface-mount installation problem where a recessed or flush-mount enclosure is impractical — it mounts directly to the wall or door frame surface, keeping wiring and button mechanics protected while maintaining quick-release access to internal connections.
Compatibility
The KIT-71100A-B is engineered for STI Stopper Station systems and universal button configurations. It integrates with STI access control hardware supporting standard door strike and reader installations. This back box is suitable for retrofit deployments into existing STI-based entry systems and new multi-door access control assemblies where Stopper Station compatibility is required.
Installation Notes
Position the back box frame centrally over the mounting surface and mark the four fixing hole locations using the frame as a template. Drill using a 7mm masonry bit for wall-mounted installations. Secure the frame with the wall fixings provided. For cable entry, select and install the appropriate gasket for your wiring system — the kit supports blanking inserts to seal unused cable entry holes. The 9VDC requirement means your integration must source stable low-voltage DC power from a compatible control panel or power supply; verify your power budget before commissioning.
