Speco Technologies O2I562 Intensifier IP Ceiling Camera
The Speco O2I562 is a 2MP compact IP ceiling-mount camera designed for indoor low-light surveillance without infrared LED illumination. The fixed 3.6mm pinhole lens (F1.4) and Intensifier technology deliver color video down to 0.2 lux — useful in retail back rooms, corridors, and institutional spaces where IR reflection artifacts or IR-sensitive environments create problems. The O2I562 solves a specific problem: you need usable color detail in dim conditions but cannot tolerate IR washout, gloss reflections, or IR-triggered alerts from objects that bounce infrared.
Compatibility
The O2I562 operates as a standalone networked camera or integrates with any ONVIF Profile S–compliant VMS platform (Milestone, Genetec, Exacq, etc.). It connects via standard Ethernet (10/100 Mbps) with PoE power (IEEE 802.3af, 4W max draw), requiring no separate power supply. The camera supports 3 simultaneous streams at up to 1920×1080 @ 30 fps in H.264 or MJPEG, and includes microSD card local recording (card not supplied). Two-way audio via G.711 codec allows intercom-style communication in retail or access-control deployments. Ceiling-mount bracket hardware is included for drop-ceiling and solid-ceiling installation.
Installation Notes
The O2I562 ships with an 8-foot attached cable connecting the camera lens unit to the network module, allowing flexible placement within that cable run in ceiling voids. Operating temperature range is 14°F to 122°F — suitable for climate-controlled indoor spaces. Install PoE power via a standard 802.3af switch port or injector; no additional power supply is required. The camera includes motion-triggered recording, sensor input, and relay output for alarm integration. Certifications: FCC, RoHS.
