Overview

The N4WNRM4TB is a compact wall-mounted network video recorder designed for surveillance systems where traditional rack or shelf mounting isn't practical. This 4-channel unit records up to 8MP (4K) at 30 fps with H.265 compression, which stores roughly twice the footage per terabyte compared to H.264 — a significant advantage on fixed storage. Built-in PoE on all four channels eliminates separate power supplies for compatible cameras. The 4TB internal HDD provides extended retention for mixed-resolution camera configurations. Real-time search, object detection, line-crossing alerts, and 2-way audio are standard.

Compatibility

Designed for Speco Blue IP cameras with plug-and-play discovery and auto-configuration — you don't need to manually locate cameras on the network. The N4WNRM4TB supports ONVIF-compliant IP cameras from other vendors as well, making it suitable for mixed-brand deployments. PoE ports use IEEE 802.3af standard (13W budget per port), adequate for compact 2–5MP fixed cameras but check your specific camera power draw if you're mixing higher-draw models. VGA and HDMI outputs support local monitoring; remote access via standard mobile and desktop clients.

Wall mounting is straightforward — the compact footprint fits control rooms, retail locations, and distributed monitoring points without requiring a network closet. DC48V power input via the unit itself. Operating range 14°F to 122°F (–10°C to 50°C). The built-in PoE eliminates cable runs to a separate switch, reducing complexity on smaller installations. Verify your network uplink bandwidth: 10/100 Mbps Ethernet is acceptable for 4-camera continuous 4K recording if you select appropriate bitrate profiles in the NVR settings. If you need higher throughput or more cameras later, the wall-mount form factor limits expansion — consider the 8-channel variant (N8WNRM) or a traditional rack unit instead.
