Overview
The N16WNRN2TB is a 16-channel wall-mount network video recorder built for small- to mid-scale IP surveillance deployments where rack space is limited or control-room mounting is impractical. It collects, digitizes, and archives up to 16 channels of IP video and audio across a standard Ethernet network. The 2TB built-in storage handles continuous or scheduled recording across all 16 channels — sizing depends on resolution, compression codec, and retention window, but roughly 45–90 days of 24/7 recording at 1080p with H.265 compression is typical. Wall-mount form factor suits retail backrooms, branch offices, small commercial facilities, and server closets where a traditional rack NVR won't fit.
Compatibility
The N16WNRN2TB integrates with any ONVIF-compliant IP camera — that includes Axis, Hikvision, Uniview, Dahua, Hanwha, and most enterprise-grade network cameras. No proprietary software or licensing required. Supports mixed-vendor camera deployments without penalty. The unit accepts audio input from cameras or external microphones, enabling two-way communication and event audio capture on systems that require it. Installation Notes
Wall-mount bracket allows installation in utility closets, server rooms, or behind-door mounting configurations. Connect all cameras via standard Gigabit Ethernet (PoE capable if cameras are PoE-powered; the recorder itself does not supply PoE). Network bandwidth requirement scales with camera count and bitrate — a rough floor is 3–5 Mbps per 1080p camera stream depending on codec and frame rate. Ensure adequate UPS power backup on the NVR and network switch; recording loss on power-down is unrecoverable. DHCP and static IP both supported for network configuration.
