Overview
The H12WHRN2TB is a 12-channel wall-mount hybrid recorder built for integrators managing mixed analog and IP surveillance infrastructure. It accepts 8 hybrid channels (TVI analog or IP signals interchangeably) plus 4 dedicated IP channels, eliminating the need to choose between separate DVR and NVR hardware during camera migrations or heterogeneous deployments. Compatibility
The H12WHRN2TB integrates with Speco TVI HD cameras over standard coax cabling and any ONVIF-compliant IP camera. The 8 hybrid channels accept either signal type without reconfiguration—swap a TVI camera for an IP camera on the same port without hardware changes. The 4 dedicated IP channels provide scaling headroom for pure-IP expansion. This hybrid approach works with existing analog infrastructure, supporting staged transitions where older coax-based systems remain in service alongside newer IP deployments. It does not require separate encoding hardware when mixing protocols.
Installation Notes
Wall-mount installation requires secure anchoring to stud or equivalent load-bearing surface—the recorder's weight and heat dissipation demand stable mounting. Ensure adequate ventilation clearance (minimum 4 inches behind and above) to prevent thermal throttling during 24/7 recording on all 12 channels. Connect analog cameras via standard RG59 or RG6 coax; IP cameras via PoE-injected or switch-delivered Ethernet. Power is supplied via a dedicated supply (not PoE). Configure remote network access through the recorder's built-in interface for off-site monitoring and retrieval.
