The Speco Technologies BRC5 is an in-ceiling mounting bracket designed to securely install a pair of 5.25-inch speakers within a suspended ceiling structure. This bracket simplifies installation by providing a stable platform, ensuring speakers are flush-mounted and properly supported, which is critical for acoustic performance and a clean aesthetic in commercial or residential audio deployments. The BRC5 model is engineered for straightforward integration into standard drop-ceiling grids.

Compatibility

This bracket is specifically designed for 5.25-inch speaker pairs. It is compatible with most standard 5.25-inch in-ceiling speaker models that require a circular cutout and support mounting via side flanges. Verify speaker dimensions against the bracket's support rail measurements for optimal fit. It is not designed for larger or smaller speaker sizes, nor for surface-mount applications.

Installation Notes

Installation requires access to the ceiling space above the drywall or ceiling tile. The bracket includes a center support and two attachable support rails, measuring 16-3/4" and 2" respectively, to accommodate various speaker depths and ensure a secure fit. Ensure the ceiling structure can adequately support the weight of the speakers and bracket. Standard tools for drywall or ceiling tile cutting and screw driving are necessary.
