Speco Technologies BB12 12' BNC Male to Male Coaxial Cable
Overview
The BB12 is a 12-foot BNC male-to-male coaxial cable purpose-built for analog and HD-TVI video transmission in surveillance installations. This cable bridges cameras, recorders, monitors, and inline equipment using standard BNC connectors — eliminating the need for adapters and reducing signal loss at connection points. Choose this when you're running short to medium distances (under 12 feet) and need a ready-made solution without custom termination or rework on-site.
Compatibility
The BB12 integrates with any surveillance device featuring BNC video inputs or outputs: analog cameras and recorders, HD-TVI systems, legacy CCTV architectures, and hybrid environments mixing older and newer equipment. Works with Speco camera and recorder systems as well as third-party brands using BNC connectors (Hikvision, Dahua, Uniview, Axis analog-output models, and others). Not suitable for IP camera systems that use RJ45 connectors or for applications requiring longer cable runs — those demand powered or amplified distribution or switch-based connectivity.
Installation Notes
12 feet of cable length accommodates most ceiling-mounted to wall-mounted or camera-to-recorder runs in small to mid-sized commercial or retail spaces. BNC connectors twist-lock with a quarter-turn — hand-tighten only; over-torquing can crack the connector body. Coaxial construction maintains signal integrity across standard surveillance bandwidths; do not coil or bundle tightly near power lines to avoid capacitive coupling. Storage temperature range –40 °C to +100 °C supports outdoor temporary deployment, but permanent outdoor use requires weatherproof conduit or a weatherproofed BNC coupler. NDAA Section 889 Part B compliant, meeting federal procurement requirements for government-contracted integrators and security installations.
