Overview
The Code Blue SLNP0080 is a solar-powered battery backup module designed to extend runtime and reduce grid dependency for Code Blue IP and analog speakerphone systems deployed outdoors. It provides continuous power during outages and charges passively during daylight hours, eliminating the need for frequent maintenance trips to remote installations. This accessory fits applications where hardwired AC power is unavailable or unreliable — parking lots, remote checkpoints, emergency communication stations, and area-of-refuge systems that operate 24/7.
Compatibility
The SLNP0080 is engineered for Code Blue speakerphone series including CB1, CB2, CB4, CB5, CB6, CB9, CBRT, and legacy tower models. It also integrates with Code Blue IP1500, IP1501, IP2500, and IP2501 VoIP speakerphones, as well as LS1000 and LS2000 audio paging systems. The blanket works with 12–24V DC systems, matching the DC rail voltage of compatible Code Blue enclosures. Verify your system's DC supply specification before installation to ensure proper voltage matching.
Installation Notes
Mount the solar blanket on the south-facing side of the enclosure or tower (north hemisphere) or north-facing (southern hemisphere) to maximize solar exposure. Ensure unobstructed sunlight for at least 6 hours daily during winter months — partial shade significantly reduces charge rate. The blanket integrates directly into the enclosure's 12–24V DC power distribution. Wire connections use standard Code Blue terminal blocks; no additional cabling is required beyond what ships with your system. Position the blanket to shed water and prevent ice/snow accumulation in cold climates.
