Description

SDC 400NU-L2 Visual Monitoring Station

Overview

The SDC 400NU-L2 is a narrow-frame visual monitoring station designed to display real-time door and lock status in centralized access control installations. Mounted on a 1¾" × 4½" faceplate with stainless steel finish, it uses LED indicators to signal door open/close or strike lock status when wired to relay logic outputs from your access control panel. This is the component you install at a staffed console or security desk to show live door state without polling the main controller.

Compatibility

The 400NU-L2 integrates with any centralized access control system that outputs relay signals — standard for most commercial panels including SDC controllers, Honeywell/VISTA systems, and legacy HID-based installations. It accepts 12/24 VDC input (±10% tolerance) via wire leads, making it compatible with dry-contact or powered relay outputs. No network connection required; wiring is point-to-point from relay terminal to LED input. Suitable for retrofit into existing security desks and control room layouts.

Installation Notes

Each LED draws 20 mA at 24 VDC — calculate total draw if you're stacking multiple 400NU-L2 units on one power supply. Supply comes with bare wire leads; use standard 18–22 AWG twisted pair for runs under 100 feet to avoid voltage drop. Stainless steel faceplate resists corrosion in humid or salt-spray environments common in healthcare, hospitality, and marina facilities. Mounting template should be verified against your existing frame or cut-out before installation.

What's in the Box
