Overview
The SB2-CP12 is a contractor-pack of twelve 2U flanged blank rack panels in 19-inch steel with a textured black powder coat finish, supplied in plain poly bags for jobsite use. Each SB2-CP12 panel closes off unused rack space to maintain proper airflow, prevent cable ingress, and keep rack interiors clean during and after install — critical on any active AV, IT, or security equipment rack where open slots disrupt front-to-back cooling. Steel construction and the flanged style give solid, rattle-free fit in standard EIA 19-inch racks.
Compatibility
Fits any Middle Atlantic rack enclosure or third-party EIA-310-compliant 19-inch rack accepting standard 2U panels — including Middle Atlantic's ERK, BGR, and BGRT series rack enclosures. The flanged mounting style seats positively against standard rack rails with 2 mounting points per panel. Panel width is 19 in (48.3 cm), height is 3.5 in (8.9 cm / 2 RU), and depth is just 0.52 in (1.3 cm), so it will not impede rear cable management or equipment behind it. Compatible with any rack panel accessory slot requiring a 2U filler in a standard 19-inch rackmount system.
Installation Notes
Each panel installs at 2 mounting points on standard EIA rack rails — no special tools required beyond a standard rack-screw driver. The 0.52-in depth clears virtually all rear-mount cable trays. Contractor pack ships in individual poly bags, keeping panels clean and scratch-free until point of install. With a shipping weight of 17.9 lbs for the 12-piece pack, budget appropriate freight handling for bulk rack build orders.
