Overview

The VP4N30AQ is a 0U vertical monitored rack PDU from the Vertiv Geist line, rated 30A at 208V (4.9kW) with a NEMA L6-30P input. It provides 36 IEC C13 and 6 IEC C19 receptacles for dense server and network equipment deployments in standard 42U–48U cabinets. Unit-level input power monitoring tracks real-time consumption at the PDU level — useful for capacity planning and chargeback in colocation or enterprise data center environments where per-rack watt budgets matter. The hot-swappable Intelligent Monitoring Device (IMD) means you can upgrade or swap the monitoring module without powering down the rack, reducing maintenance windows. A 128×128 high-contrast LCD with an internal orientation sensor auto-orients the display regardless of which way the PDU is mounted — a small but practically useful detail in high-density aisles.

Compatibility

Fits standard 0U vertical mounting channels in server cabinets and open-frame racks that accept vertical PDU mounting — compatible with Vertiv VR, VX, and similar cabinet families, as well as third-party enclosures with standard 0U PDU rails. The NEMA L6-30P input requires a matching 30A, 208V branch circuit; confirm your UPS or PDU panel supports L6-30P output before ordering. IEC C13 outlets accommodate standard C14 power cords (servers, switches, 1U/2U appliances); IEC C19 outlets handle higher-draw C20 devices such as high-density blade enclosures or larger UPS bypass panels.
