Description

APC by Schneider Electric AP7568 Basic Zero-U Rack PDU

Overview

The AP7568 is a zero-rack-unit (0U) basic PDU delivering 12.5kW at 208V across 36 outlets — 30 C13 and 6 C19 receptacles — on a three-cord input. Mounting vertically in the rear channel of a standard rack, it reclaims every horizontal rack unit for active equipment, which matters in fully populated high-density enclosures where a 1U or 2U PDU represents real lost capacity. With a 50/60 Hz frequency rating, it suits both domestic and international deployments running 208V three-phase or single-phase infrastructure. The mixed C13/C19 outlet count covers the full range of rack-mounted gear: C13 handles standard 1U servers, switches, and patch panels; C19 handles high-draw equipment such as GPU servers, large UPS outputs, and high-wattage storage controllers that would otherwise require a dedicated circuit or adapter.

Compatibility

The AP7568 is designed for APC NetShelter SX, SY, and VX series enclosures — and compatible with any standard EIA-310 19-inch rack with a vertical mounting channel and sufficient depth for the 70-inch height of the PDU body. The IEC C13 outlets pair directly with C14 power cords, suitable for rack servers, network switches, KVM units, and 1U/2U appliances from Dell, HPE, Cisco, Lenovo, and similar vendors. The six C19 outlets accept C20 cords for higher-draw devices such as APC Smart-UPS RT, Symmetra LX/RM modules, blade enclosures, and GPU compute nodes drawing above 15A per port. Confirm your rack's vertical PDU bracket accommodates a 3.50-inch depth profile before ordering.

Installation Notes

The PDU body measures 70 inches tall by 2.20 inches wide by 3.50 inches deep and mounts in the vertical 0U space — it does not consume rack units, but the rack must have a dedicated 0U mounting strip or side-channel. The three-cord input configuration requires that the feed circuit matches 208V at sufficient amperage to support the 12.5kW load; verify upstream breaker sizing before commissioning. The 3-foot cord length constrains how far the PDU can be positioned from the power entry point — measure the distance from your floor-level PDU inlet or overhead busway tap before installation.
